A day with Nana

Yesterday the kiddos and I spent the day with their Nana (my mom-in-law), we went to The Harbor (our favorite) and had lunch, we went into Harbor Girl and she bought Mavery THE cutest little outfit and then we went to see the new movie Madagascar 2. McKade has been to 1 other movie and he did sooo good, so I was hoping he would do well in this movie as well. He was very hungry when we first got there so he had some of his bottle and fell asleep at the beginning of the movie, but when he woke up we didn't even know because he was watching the movie. He was very cute, he even laughed a few times. Mavery loved it as did I and Sharon. It was even better than the first in my opinion!! I would even go see it again!!:) Here are a few pics I took of the kids with their Nana....

Animal Crackers......

This afternoon I was making a snack for Mavery and opened a bag of animal crackers for her. McKade is now my little shadow, he hates being alone in a room so he pretty much goes wherever I go. So, this afternoon he sat in his Bumbo watching everything his mommy did in the kitchen from marinating pork tenderloin, to boiling rice, he loves being there and observing. I didn't think much about making Mavery's snack with him watching he never really shows any interest in eating anything. Well, let me tell you, he showed an interest in the animal crackers!! He saw Mavery put one in her mouth and he saw me put one in mine and that was it.....he HAD to have one!! It was so funny!! I didn't let him chomp down or anything but he did suck on it and you could tell he LOVED it! He kept trying to get me to shove the whole thing in his mouth! Needless to say he got to suck on 3 crackers (they kept getting so gross I had to throw them away and get another). So, I guess it is time to introduce rice cereal now. FUN!! I can't beleive my baby will be 5 month in a couple of weeks!!:(

YUMMMMMM..........
Give me more!!

These do not taste like those crackers!!

The BIRDS!!!

This morning when I got up I went to talk to Mark who was in the garage. It was funny because I could barely here myself speak because of the overwhelming sound of chirping. I went and glanced in our yard and I was blown away. There were HUNDREDS of birds in our yard and when I went in I could here thumping against our back door and there were hundreds of birds back there, too. Mark and I both took a whole bunch of pictures. It was an amazing sight, also our cats completley freaked out, to them that was a giant buffet just waiting for them. LOL! The best part was when they flew away, they all flapped their wings at the same time and took off, but the sound was something I have never heard before, it gave me chills, it was so cool. Here are some pics I took...........

Shots today???

Today Mark and I went and had lunch with McKade at the Harbor, our very favorite place to go in Rockwall. We ate at Glorias' and then went for a walk around the lake. I took some very cute pictures of McKade and his daddy. He was being quite a character, talking and making this new sound of spitting through his closed lips....it was really quite funny! Mckade had a Dr. appt. today for his 4 month check up. I thought it would be a quick in and out check up, his weight and length, that sort of thing. It was exactly what I thought it would be.... Mckade now weighs 16 lbs and 2 oz, (pretty good for a baby that got down to 5 lbs after he was born) he is 25 inches long and is in the 50 percentile of babies his age. After the Dr. checked him he then informs me that he needs 3 more shots. NOOOOO!!! I HATE seeing my babies in pain and I had no clue he would get shots today. I felt so bad, he was so happy and just had no clue what was about to happen. He was such a big boy and only cried for a minute, if even that. He got his bottle and that was good for him. He slept for a little while and seemed to feel better when he got up. My mom also came over to see the kids today and McKade was really into her shirt, it was soo funny, he just kept grabbing it and trying to put it in his mouth. LOL! Here are a few pics of our day and of our little trooper.

GOD IS GREAT!!

I had to write this because we have been praying and praying about this and today we got some WONDERFUL news!! Our Jeep had a heart attack about 6 weeks ago, the radiator busted and the engine overheated causing the Jeep to die. We were very upset because this is our one and only vehicle at the moment and as timing has it 2 weeks later Mark was going to be be buying a second car. But, we had to rent a car while the insurance assessed the damage and decided if it was an accident or not. (It was, I hit a HUGE pot hole in downtown Rockwall) Thanks to our really good friend Erin because without her I would have been stranded on the side of the road. And to our wonderful friend, John who came and towed the Jeep and made sure the insurance did their job!! Thank God for good friends! So onto great news.....we heard from our insurance this morning and they are taking care of ALL the damage!!! ALL of it!! Radiator, engine....everything!! It is amazing what prayer can do and how God can work in your life!!:)

Family Time

We have had a very busy weekend! We had so much fun on Halloween and then yesterday we went to my father-in-law's for family time with Mark's grandmother, Genny, and his sister Marla. We finally got to meet our new baby neice, Peyton also. She will be 2 months on November 4th and McKade is 4 and a half months. It is so nuts seeing the difference between them. I know in a few more months they will notice each other a little more. Mavery loved holding her and is now asking if she can have a baby sister, too!! LOL! We got to spend time with Mark's grandmother also. She is here visiting from California. This was her first time to meet both McKade and Peyton, I think she really enjoyed holding both of them and playing babies for the day. Peyton is such a sweet baby, she didn't cry unless she wanted to eat and she was just so content letting everyone hold her. It was fun taking pictures of them, even though McKade just kept having little meltdowns. He did not like 4 people in his face snapping pictures. It was a little overwhelming for him. Here are some really great pics we got.....

RockStar Ballerina and the Bear Cub......

We had a really fun Halloween!! Mavery was a Rockstar Ballerina and McKade was a little Bear cub. You can't really tell from these pics about his costume because he was really tired and didn't want to let go of his pacifier.:) Mavery and McKade went with our friend Erin and Jerods kids Hayden and Dylan, and our friend Michelle and Brad's little boy, Brayden. They were all very cute!! Hayden was a Motorcross Racer, Dylan was a Army guy, and little Brayden was a Giraffe. They had so much fun trick or treating, there were alot of houses all decorated and very spooky. There was even a house where a couple had gotten married dressed as the bride of Chucky and Chucky. Crazy!! LOL!! Well here are some pics of the kiddos.........
