What a difference a year makes.....

I thought I would share a couple of pics.....the first is from Christmas 2008 McKade was 6 months old and Peyton was almost 4 months old. The second picture is from this year, and they are just so flippin' CUTE!!! It was tons of fun watching them run around everywhere!

This Christmas....

Today I am reminded of all the reasons I love this time of year. First, I have had a really busy week and not a whole lot of time with my kiddos and I am very much accustomed to spending time with them everyday, so it was a hard week not being able to participate the way I usually do. So, today it was great to get to sit and play and spend time time just relaxing with the family.

Today I also had enough time to stop and think about the people I will miss this Christmas. I will truly miss my godparents, Thelma and Roy and I will miss seeing our nephew Sterling playing with his cousins. I know they are all in a better place and I will see them again one day, but this time of year reminds me more than ever that I MISS them so very much.

My baby boy did the sweetest thing today while in our room and it brought on the tears.......we have several family pictures in our room and McKade likes to go and look and point to different people and we tell him who everyone is. Today he found a picture of his sister Mavery with our nephew Sterling and he went crazy over the picture, he picked it up and carried it all over the room laughing and gibbering and then he so very carefully put it back where it belonged. He then went back and touched Sterlings' face and looked at me and gibbered the happiest little gibber and then picked up the picture again and hugged it very tight. It was just one of those moments that can't help but touch your heart. It was as if he was telling me he knew him and that he loved him. I truly know that Sterling is in heaven and I have a hunch that he knew McKade before we ever did and had some part in sending all the sweet babies to our families. We will miss him this year, as we do everyday. But, I am so thankful for the reminders that we will see him again and he is always watching over us........

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!! God Bless!
