Wow...I'm a bad blogger!

A-B Honor Roll for the WHOLE YEAR! GO MAVS!

I guess keeping up with everything going on like, kids, job, family, friends....it's hard to keep up with this blog. I can't beleive that it is summer again and our girl will be going into the 6th grade this fall. Our little man will be 3 in a few weeks and it just all seems so unreal.

Below are some pics from Mavery's awards ceremony...

Getting her awards....

Time does seem to go by faster and faster the older I get. I don't like it. I feel like I need more time to enjoy my kids and I definitely need more time to do all the things I think we should be doing as a family. Where you think you will be at age 30 when your 18 and daydreaming about the future, is completely different than where you actually end up. Most of it is more amazing than I ever, ever dreamed. I'm looking forward to a great summer and plan of trying to get a few more posts up on this blog. :)

What a difference a year makes.....

I thought I would share a couple of pics.....the first is from Christmas 2008 McKade was 6 months old and Peyton was almost 4 months old. The second picture is from this year, and they are just so flippin' CUTE!!! It was tons of fun watching them run around everywhere!

This Christmas....

Today I am reminded of all the reasons I love this time of year. First, I have had a really busy week and not a whole lot of time with my kiddos and I am very much accustomed to spending time with them everyday, so it was a hard week not being able to participate the way I usually do. So, today it was great to get to sit and play and spend time time just relaxing with the family.

Today I also had enough time to stop and think about the people I will miss this Christmas. I will truly miss my godparents, Thelma and Roy and I will miss seeing our nephew Sterling playing with his cousins. I know they are all in a better place and I will see them again one day, but this time of year reminds me more than ever that I MISS them so very much.

My baby boy did the sweetest thing today while in our room and it brought on the tears.......we have several family pictures in our room and McKade likes to go and look and point to different people and we tell him who everyone is. Today he found a picture of his sister Mavery with our nephew Sterling and he went crazy over the picture, he picked it up and carried it all over the room laughing and gibbering and then he so very carefully put it back where it belonged. He then went back and touched Sterlings' face and looked at me and gibbered the happiest little gibber and then picked up the picture again and hugged it very tight. It was just one of those moments that can't help but touch your heart. It was as if he was telling me he knew him and that he loved him. I truly know that Sterling is in heaven and I have a hunch that he knew McKade before we ever did and had some part in sending all the sweet babies to our families. We will miss him this year, as we do everyday. But, I am so thankful for the reminders that we will see him again and he is always watching over us........

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!! God Bless!

That time of year.....AGAIN!

I still can't hardly believe that it is November and Thanksgiving is just a couple weeks away and then it will be time for Christmas. Where does the time go? I don't feel like I have accomplished all I was supposed to this year and it is almost over.......

We went and took our family pictures yesterday and they came out really great! Our friend Jessi is an amazing photographer and I love the pics she did for us. We actually have a Christmas card picture picked out, too! YAY! McKade was a little unsure about the whole thing, he did not like the old house we took the pics at, and of course Mavery was a rock star the whole time, she loves getting her pictures taken. It was fun and something I hope we can do more often, these kids of ours are growing way to fast!

Here are a few of my favorites....

My sweet children....

I keep wanting to take the kids to the pumpkin patch but, it has either been pouring rain, or Mark has gotten off work to late, or the pumpkin patch we wanted to go to was closed, so I took some cute pics right here at home. So these are the most recent of them both.

Mavs is well into her 4th grade year and so far she is really liking it. She loves that she gets to switch classes during the day and has different teachers. I still can't get over the fact that in 4 short months my baby will be 10 years old!! Sometimes it just doesn't seem like that can be possible......

McKade is still our little man! He is now 16 months and starting to walk, of course not by himself, he wants mommy, daddy, and sister to hold his hands and walk, walk, walk, everywhere!! And he gets his little feelings hurt very bad if we do not do this at least 200 times a day!! LOL!! He just started walking holding only 1 hand the other day and his balance is getting better and better, he will be doing it all on his own before long. He loves to play chase with his sister and he just started covering his eyes so he can play peek-a-boo. He also is really into giving everyone "5", and he gets really into it.....he is just so much fun for all of us!!

I'm such a mess....

So my little guy has discovered the fun that is laudry.....LOL!! No fun for me, but he seems to find it very interesting that his clothes go in these big white metal boxes. After emptying out the dryer the other day, I walked back in to find him halfway in the dryer trying to check everything out. It was so cute I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures, towards the end I gave him a little help so he could check out the inside of our dryer and he thought it was the greatest thing EVER! Getting him to get out of the dryer was a whole other story....he cried and cried because he wanted to stay in there and play. He has gotten so busy the past few weeks. He is always getting into something he isn't supposed to! He loves to sing in his bed and when he is playing with his toys by himself. He has mastered crawling and is now holding our hands and making us all walk him where he wants to go. It won't be long and he will be walking! So, here are a few pics from his play date with the dryer.......
